For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, a mere copy of the true one, but he entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. Hebrews 9:24
Hebrews was written for an audience whose faith believed in a “god” that was separate from itself, and who lived in a place that was different than their own.
Things haven’t changed much.
Most people of faith still see “heaven” as being a place. How hard does that make it for us fully commit ourselves to transforming this time and this place into the “kingdom of heaven”?
The Message of the Christ tells us that Theos is “Emmanuel” – “God With Us.”
Right here. Right now. And always.
How does that change how we act toward each other and the world?
